A great priest once said “Corruption is like genetically engineered into Filipinos most especially the politicians. The Philippines is such a rich country but with a lot of poor people.”
This reminds me of politics in school. There no money to be stolen but there’s thirst for power. Every year it’s the same old story. Warring parties try to destroy each other, stealing candidates, making up stories, judging each other.
In the end, it doesn’t matter which party a candidate comes from. What matters is what that candidate can really do once he is in the position. It doesn’t matter how intelligent a person is for as long as that candidate can charm his constituents into helping him in making activities possible and successful (seriously, not in a prissy way!).
The success of a college depends on both the leader and constituents. If both won’t go together, then the college will be facing a serious problem.
I’m not happy with what i’m hearing from the people in my college and what they do just for elections. The disgust me even more. I can’t stand the fact that the college can be falling apart because of the freaking parties! Friendships are becoming fake just for power!
Anyway, what ever happens, it’s all in the hands of the students.
